Everyone seems to be looking for solution to help communication within businesses. It is a shame that many of them have rooms full of equipment such as video over IP but still send their employees across the country or even across the world for meetings. I assume that the whole point of getting this sort of IP video kit into an office would be to prevent this sort of expense. It seems silly, especially in these times of recession, that employees are not trying to use it more. They probably enjoy a trip out of the office especially if it means an overnight stay. However, they should be thinking about their jobs and how if they cost the company more money then the company are more likely to make a profit and be able to keep running without making redundancies or worse having to close down altogether. I think employees start to keep thinking about the bigger picture and the consequences of their actions rather than just thinking about themselves, as being sensible now could have a long term impact on them.
