Many of us are aware of how valuable flax seeds are. They are a great addition to any diet being full of healthy Omega 3 and a great source of fibre. They are especially good for vegans and vegetarians and anyone else who does not eat oily fish and therefore has a lack of Omega 3 in their diet. The only problem with flax seeds is that they are not particularly nice to eat on their own. They are quite small and dry and so they are not something that many people would like to eat on their own. It is often suggested that they are added to bread or sprinkled over salads or cereals. However if you take a look at the Internet then you are likely to find a lot more exciting flax seed recipes so that you can incorporate them into a great and tasty dish. Hopefully you can find a recipe, adapt one or make one up, so that you can make the most of the unusual flavour of this seed. One problem with unusual ingredients can be knowing where to buy them but you should be able to easily buy flax seed. They used to be quite difficult to get hold of and only specialist health food shops stocked them and they were often very expensive. However, nowadays, with healthy eating being more popular and the health benefits of seeds being more widely recognised, then it is easy to find them in a lot of places including all of the major supermarkets and the price is not so high as it used to be. So you should be able to easily be able to buy some and hopefully be inspired by one of the tempting recipes so that you can get the full benefit of this very healthy product.
