It can be very annoying if you purchase software and then have to spend a lot of time, effort and money in training staff members to be able to use or worse still giving up and buying something else instead. This is why it is very important to make sure that you do careful research before you buy it. Try finding a company which has a free trial version or an on line demonstration. Then do not just look at it yourself but invite the person who will eventually be using it to take a look at it. Make sure that they can use it easily and that it does everything that they expect it to. Remember that unless you are the end user, you are not necessarily the best judge as to whether the software can do what is needed. It is also worth while contacting the company and seeing whether there is any money back guarantee if you find, after a few days of using it, that it is not doing what you expected, too difficult to use or just not useful. Some companies will not offer this but it is worth asking as it could be the main factor in deciding which piece of software you eventually buy. Take some time to do your research, speak to companies and potential and users and then you will be confident when you buy the product that you have done everything that you can to make sure that it is the best for you.
