I have been looking into buying real estate in Hendersonville, NC which is where I currently rent an apartment. The problem is that although I like the idea of investing my money, I am too worried about getting into negative equity. In case you do not know, negative equity is a situation where the value of your property is less than the mortgage you owe on it. This can happen when you borrow a big percentage of the value of the property and then house prices fall a lot. There is a risk of that happening at the moment as house prices seem to be falling all of the time at the moment. It is okay if you can manage your mortgage payments and want to stay in the house for a long time. However, if you take on a property and find you are struggling to make the repayments, you will not be able to sell it and pay off the debt because the sale value will not pay off the debt. This can be really worrying which is why I am just looking at Hendersonville, NC homes and not buying anything at the moment. Each month I save a bit extra towards my deposit and look around to see what is available and eventually I will buy something when I feel confident that the time is right. I think buying on your own makes it more risky as there is only one salary which is coming in and if that is stopped due to illness or redundancy then you will be in big trouble. Having several incomes in the house is much better in that it reduces that worry and has the added advantage of the fact that you might be able to buy something bigger or pay it off quicker with the joint salary.

My friend has just moved house and I recently went to her house warming party. I have just been bursting to tell everyone and anyone about how fantastic the house and teh area are that she lives in. I am so jealous! She has a brand new home in a new build of Asheville townhomes and everything in the house is fantastic. All the decorating has been down to a really quality standard and she has all the modern conveniences that you would expect and she has fabulous neighbours. It may not sound that amazing but I have always lived in old and rather drab houses and have never been able to afford to have all the work that I would like done on them so I have never been completely happy with the building. Seeing the Real estate in Asheville has really made me rethink my future plans. I have decided that I would love to live in the area and will have to save really hard in order to do so. I have decided to do no work on my own house and to save up as hard as I can over the next few years to see whether I can get together a significant chunk of money in order to help me get a similar property. I will be further inspired by future visits to my friends house and the fact that I will miss her so much will make me want to make sure that I can afford to move sooner rather than later. I have no family close by to worry about so it is just me that has to be determined and focused in order that I can get the property of my dreams. I will be increasing the amount of hours that I work and going without new clothes and shoes but I have so much motivation that I am sure it will not be too difficult for me.

At this time of year I start to wish for a bit of sun. I do love the frosty crisp mornings and the low mist and fog as well as the weak winter sunshine on the brown leaves but it can get a bit too much at times. Sometimes I find myself dreaming about the summer and the luxuries of not having to wear a coat, worry about whether it will rain that day and keeping the house warm. I do sometimes wonder whether it is worth taking a holiday in the winter to get some sunshine. I am never sure whether it would be a good or a bad thing really. It would be lovely to be warm and have a sun tan when you get back in the winter but would you just feel extra cold when you got back? Many people do it so I guess they must enjoy it and the positive must outweigh the negatives. I suppose I never really have the opportunity for holidays at all especially in the winter when my business is extra busy. I have also always taken my holidays in the summer and so traditionally think that is the time to do it. I do know people who are looking into January holidays and one of them is looking at yacht charters. Now this sort of thing does really appeal to me as not only would it be warm, it would be really relaxing as well. I am still not sure about doing it in the winter but I will find out whether they had a good time and if they did, I will be looking into charter yachts for our holiday this summer. It will be something quite different for us and I am sure we will have fun with it.

I have decided that I really need to do something to make some extra money. Our household income is not that good at the moment so I have decided that I need to earn some income. I cannot go out to work as I have the children to look after so I thought that I might make use of my hobbies. I have a skill in making jewellery and really enjoy it as well. I figure that if I can get hold of some cheap wholesale silver, I should be able to use it to make some really special and unique pieces. I know that many people are not buying luxuries at the moment but it will come to a time when people really want to splash out on something really special and I hope that my unique pieces will be different enough to appeal to them. I have decided to also buy some jewelry wholesale to sell on so that I have something cheaper to keep the business ticking over and to draw in some customers. I will set this part up initially and then once I have set up my website and listed all of my items, I will start making the unique pieces and set this up in a separate section. I have decided to try to appeal to special occasions when people will spend money whatever the financial climate. Things like jewellery for anniversaries and weddings, where people really do want something very special. I cannot wait to get started. I will set up my website by myself and hopefully start getting some sales and traffic soon and will also supplement things by using auction sites. Hopefully I can start to make enough soon that I can draw a small income and then build things up bigger and bigger.
