I like all sorts of different types of fruitcakes. I used to think there was just the one type but I now know that there are all sorts and some are nicer than others. I must say that I prefer a really spicy cake. Something with not too much fruit but lots of spice so that it is light and tasty. At certain times I prefer heavier fruit cakes which have been cooked much longer so that they are dark and are full of fruit - like a Christmas cake. These are rich but delicious. I guess I like them because my Mother used to cook such good ones and my Aunt did too. Theirs were completely different in taste. My Mum’s was very spicy and therefore the cake itself looked quite dark and it was quite moist. My Aunts was drier with a nice crunchy top and had no spice in at all. They were both really nice though and would not like to have to say which I liked the best. I have found that whatever cakes I buy now they never come up to the standard that my Mother and my Aunt set. I know that everyone has their own favourite recipe and I guess that they stem from when were children and that we associate that cake with a fun party, presents or visiting relatives, It is funny how we do enjoy certain foods because we have happy memories of them. I know that my Mother loves ice-cream, she could eat it all of the time if she had the chance. When she was a small child the family could not afford it. Her brother worked as a chef in a hotel and he would let he visit him in the kitchens and he would give her some ice cream as a treat. I am sure this is the reason why she likes it so much.

I am currently looking for some Columbus Ohio remodeling. I am really desperate to get my kitchen remodelled you see. I have been living in my house for twenty years and we still have the original kitchen. The problem is that it still is in pretty good condition, it was really well made and so it looks great condition wise. However, as you can imagine, it is really old fashioned. It has been hard to convince both myself and my partner that we need a new one as I do not like spending money unnecessarily and if you have a kitchen in good condition, it does seem a waste of money to replace it. However, I am beginning to find that I do not want to invite people over to the house any more because I am embarrassed at how old fashioned the kitchen looks and so we have decided that we are going to go ahead and get a new one. It has been such good fun deciding what design to go for. I know that the company we go with will help us with the designs but I do need to come up with a colour scheme and think about the white goods that I want. It has been such a lot of fun searching around on the Internet at the different companies and seeing what sorts of things they have available for me to buy. As we have pondered so long about going ahead with the job, it has given us a long time to save up money do we have a great budget too so I can really splash out on some of those little luxuries which would be great time savers for me and just make life a little easier for me around the kitchen. I have not been so happy about making a major purchase and I would even go as far to say that I am really excited!

My company has just decided to change all of the computer desks and office chairs, that we have. It should be really great to get rid of the old desks which are chipped and tend to ladder my tights and also the chairs are not that comfortable. I think that so many people have complained about the chairs making their backs sore that they have decided that it is safer to replace them all rather than risk anyone suing them. I didn’t find the old ones that bad but I am still looking forward to sitting on a new clean and plush seat.

I have just discovered a new way to buy candy. I didn’t think anything could beat that feeling of peering through the sweet shop window and then going in, smelling that delicious combination of chocolate and pear drops and then looking from shelf to shelf in order to decide which treat to buy. Playing Free Games on your computer is a great way to stop you getting bored. I think it is a really good way to entertain yourself - much better than watching television as at least there is some interaction from you. Some games really make you think such as tactical games and role play games. There are also games which test your speed such as Shooting Games and others which test your strategy skills such as Tower Defence games. I think that they get criticised too much and can be a great way to educate yourself and keep your brain active.
